Exciting Changes

Well, we've discovered that this baby can certainly handle stress! Last week I was asked to interview for some teaching jobs that became open at Big Rapids Public Schools. I studied and prepped for two days and had the hardest time sleeping because I was so nervous. The interview was infront of 6 people (administrators and teachers)...it ended up going well. They invtited me to come back to teach two 10-min mini writing lessons for them (no kids...just them). They were undecided whether they wanted me to teach Kindergarten or 4th grade so I had to do the mini lessons in both. AHHHH!!! Talk about stress! This baby is certainly well aware of how my body handles stress...I am sure he/she could feel it. I practiced the lessons on Nick...he loved it as you can imagine! :) Anyway, that same afternoon they offered me the Kindergarten spot!!! I am so excited!!
2011 is definitely going to be full of changes...I am saying good bye to my St. Mary's family and hello to knew and exciting opportunities in a public school district. All of this is going to happen right in the middle of us welcoming a new member to our family! So so fun!

Dance Parties!

Baby Scheible is moving a ton...totally taking over my belly. I've enjoyed feeling the movements these last few weeks, but just the other day we started being able to see the baby dance around in there! It's my favorite thing to do...I could just sit there and watch for days and days.
The kicking has started getting harder and it's just wonderful when I'm trying to sleep in! I can already tell this baby is going to be a morning person just like Nick. I'm thinking he'll be taking the early morning shifts. ;)

21 Week Check Up

Well we saw our Dr. this last Friday for our check up and it went super well. The best part is that my blood pressure is perfect and I've only gained 10lbs at the most so far. Wooohooo!!!
The baby is doing wonderfully and moving around like crazy. his/her heartbeat was at 155...perfectly normal for this stage in the game. He/she weighs about 12oz and is approx. 10cm long (the length of a carrot).
Over half way there! I am feeling great, loving life and can't wait for October!

Moving Around!

Finally last night Nick got to feel Baby Scheible kicking! It was amazing!!! The baby was moving more last night than ever before. We just laid on the couch and enjoyed every minute of it! :)

20 Weeks!

We went yesterday for our 20 week ultra sound and it was so much fun! We knew the tech so we got tons of extra pictures! She even told us to give her a call and come back some evening for a 3-D. :) I think we may just take her up on that.
The baby was super photogenic! We got a thumbs up, we got a smiley face, we even got to see him/her open wide! It was awesome. The best part for me though was watching the baby move on the camera and feeling it at the same time. Once it a while it would bump against the "wand" thingy. :)
Nick still has not been able to feel it...but now that I know for sure that I'm feeling it I can tell you it's one active baby!
We did not peek to try and find out the sex so that is still a total surprise. The tech even marked it on our charts to not tell the Dr. so that the Dr. won't ever slip.
Half way there!

We are Registered!

We are officially registered at Babies R Us and Target (typical). :) It was a long day but totally worth it. I think we were at Babies R Us for a total of 3 1/2 hours on Saturday! They were sooooo helpful there, they made it as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The main lady who helped us was even Canadian! :)

Being there at that store though made me super excited for when the baby is born so we know the sex. So many adorable choices for a nursery. I can't wait to get designing...at least 5 months to go!

On another note, I am fairly sure I have been feeling the baby kicking the last two weeks or so. Last night I was even certain that I felt it on the outside too! So hard to tell though!
